A TESTIMONY FROM THE MINISTER I could find no more fitting words to share with you today than the opening of the 103rd psalm of David from the New International Version . Praise the Lord, O my soul; Again God has seen fit to pour out grace, mercy, health and healing to his servant Michael. HE IS WORTHY of all my praise! My visit to the surgeon last week was a time for thanksgiving! To use His own words, "Rev. Haynes, I want you to understand that today you are CANCER FREE!" The pathology laboratory report was all good news. The cancer was contained to the small encapsulated tumor. It was fully removed intact. All other tissue removed was cancer free. THE GREAT PHYSICIAN BLESSED ME! Although I will be gradually returning to certain ministerial duties, I have been cautioned that the full restoration of my body will be A LONG, SLOW PROCESS. I am most grateful to Dr. Niall Henry and Dr. James Dineen and the medical team at Mass. General who have administered health and healing. The team of "special TBC health angels", Dr. Shirley Redd, Doctors Gary and Gena Brockington, and Nutritionist Mabel Johnson were superb in their sacrificial and supportive roles to help me get well. Chuck Austin and Chris Lydon opened special doors to help me over the hard places. My colleagues Rev. Gerald, Clara Bell, Ron Gunn, and brother, Jeep helped to "prop me up on every leaning side." My family has been patient and faithful through these long days. In a special way I must thank ALL OF YOU for the very important role you have played in helping and encouraging me, and in keeping my case before "the Throne of Grace," Your prayers, cards, notes, gifts, and kind words have been "HEALING RAYS OF BRIGHT SUNSHINE." As I move into a new period of ministry and service, I pray that God will use me to be a blessing to you in some significant way. GOD IS SO GOOD!
