Why a SIS-TAHS Web site? I am a mother of two teenage daughters and have been a Christian myself since I was a teenager in the late 60's early 70's. I developed this site as a result of a vision for Christian teen girls in an urban setting, to have a forum to deal with specific issues and concerns relevant to them. The idea was originally conceived during the winter of 1998 in my 7th and 8th grade Sunday Bible School Class and made a reality in July of 1998. The SIS-TAHS Web site consists of a team of myself, serving in an advisory capacity and six Christian teenage girls presently ranging in ages from fifteen to nineteen. We are not perfect nor do we claim to have all the answers but we are striving to live lives that are pleasing to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that this web site will provide Christian female teens with scripturally based responses to issues they are facing. It is not intended to be a site to tell them what they should or should not do, but a site that will point them to scriptures and challenge them into being an example to the believers in SLLFP (the theme of the site taken from 1 Timothy 4:12). Please pray that this mission is truly accomplished in the lives of our Christian young ladies. STEPHANIE- I am 19 years old and am a freshman at Morgan State University. My best friend is Kristen who you will meet later. I enjoy working with children ( I want to be a teacher). I also love to read. The reason I'm working on this web page is because it's a good opportunity to share my experiences with other young teen girls. As Christians, it is our duty to help each other. I deal with real problems everyday, rumors, temptations, and many other things. This is one opportunity to get things out and help others "DEAL". My life verses are Ephesians 6:12 (weapons we fight) and Matthew 18:21-22 (forgiveness). "Mocha"- What up? My "name" used to be Nike, but my friends made up this tag for me. It's random and it has nothing behind it, but I do like mocha (the drink). I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. My sister is Kristen and my mother made this site. I have been a Christian since I was 4 years old. I love to sing, chill with my friends, talk on the phone and SHOP!!!!! I attend T.B.C. (Twelfth Baptist Church) regularly. My life verse is John 3:16. KRISTEN - Kristen is a sophomore at Hampton University, majoring in music education. She is 19 years old and enjoys music, plays the piano and loves to sing.
