Response 4
All is not lost!! God has promised to "...hurl all our iniquities into the
depths of the sea" Micah 7:19b
. Everyone has sinned and we have a loving God
who will forgive. Now that you've done it, you know how good it is. It will
be harder for you to resist. It is important that you pray, 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our
sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Ask God to give you strength because you know it will be a struggle.
Psalms 29:11 "The Lord gives strength to his people; the
Lord blesses his people with peace."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
Don't think because you're not a virgin you can continue to have sex.
Once you've made a mistake you don't have to keep making it.
Sex should still be honored between a husband and wife even if you've already had it.
God can honor and bless your decision with a loving husband who understands
that everyone sins. You will feel better about yourself and your walk with Christ will be stronger.
You can be a witness to other girls and let them know that you're abstaining (not having sex). It
will be a wonderful testimony and accomplishment. If you're having a lot of
trouble abstaining, ask someone you can trust or who you are accountable to (see
accountability) to pray with you. If you have a boyfriend ask him to pray
with you also. God will hear your prayer and give you strength and wisdom.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

It may be difficult for everyone trying to stay a virgin or giving up sex until you're married,
but it is not impossible. There's no harm in waiting. You just have to
set your limits and understand your mind and your body. Sex is wonderful and
desirable but wait until you're married; it will be worth it in the end.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Luke 12:34

It has been said, that sex is like a "fire".
Contained within the "fireplace" of marriage, sex is wonderful,
when sex is outside the "fireplace" of marriage, someone gets burned!
